Stegreif - The Improvising Symphony Orchestra shows what a contemporary orchestra can look like: cross-genre musicians play without notes, without a conductor, freely in space and improvise on symphonic music. This is how classical arrangements are created in a new guise. A drum installation conceived by N.U. Unruh (Einstürzende Neubauten). For this hands-on event self-created drumtables are provided for the audience and will be playedwith sticks. Everybody can immediately participate without particular knowledge. Groovy play-along tracks monitored from the P.A. system function as rhythmical orientation during drumming. Zebra Katz is a Jamaican-American rapper, producer, songwriter and performing artist. His style of music is minimalist, futuristic, doomy and left-of-center. Berlin-based DJs 11:68PM and data plan are influenced by electronic music in all its constancy and discontinuity. data plan's stylistic crossovers of electro, acid house and IDM were last featured in Berlin as part of the Staub series at ://about blank and Tresor.
